Sian Thomas


"My firm belief that English is the cornerstone of the curriculum means that I am passionate about improving the quality of teaching and learning for all students.  My aim is to support schools in helping their students to make outstanding progress in English so that their lives are enhanced both in and outside the classroom.

I am an English specialist with considerable experience of teaching and leadership in successful secondary schools in Norfolk, Essex and Havering. My consultancy role within Southend on Sea local authority means that I have worked with a wide range of schools, from high performing selective institutions to those in challenging circumstances. I have also worked as a Regional Adviser for National Strategies, supporting 16 local authorities in London.  She is an Ofsted inspector.  This wealth of experience demonstrates that she has much to offer all schools in the UK."

Sian Thomas has the NPQH qualification and completed an MA in Educational Studies in 2010.  She is an experienced examiner for GCSE English and Functional Skills in English; and has written teaching materials for the UK market and been CPD presenter for a major examination board.
